RESOLUTION
Here is a list of possible causes and resolutions.
1. Microsoft Office was not installed as a full custom install.
a. Open Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel
b. Highlight the Office Installation and select the Change (Windows 2000 or XP) or Change/Remove (Windows 98 SE) button.
c. Depending on your version of Office, follow the outlined steps:
i. Office 2000
1. Click the button to Add/Remove Features
ii. Office 2002/XP
1. Select the option to Add/Remove Features
2. Click the Next Button
iii. Office 2003
1. Select the option to Add or Remove Features
2. Click the Next button
3. Check the box next to Choose advanced customization of applications
4. Click the Next button
d. Verify that all the Office Components are running from the hard drive (My Computer)
2. Office is not installed to its default location on the C drive.
Microsoft Office must be installed to its default directory:
Office 2000: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office Office 2002: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office10 Office 2003: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office11
If Microsoft Office is not installed to its default directory, uninstall it. Then reinstall
Microsoft Office to its default location on drive C:.
3. None of the Microsoft Applications have been run for the first time.
In most cases, one of the Microsoft Office applications (for instance, Microsoft Word) must be run so that it can activate as well as obtain the Windows User's name and initials. In order to resolve this, run one of the Microsoft Office applications, like Microsoft Word, and verify that it opens to the default page.
4. Microsoft Outlook hasn't been configured.

5. Microsoft Office Assistant is enabled.
Open Microsoft Office and right click the Office assistant. Uncheck the "Use Office Assistant" checkbox. Then click the OK button.
6. Microsoft Office Language Bar is enabled.
Verify that the Language Bar has been configured so that Speech Recognition and Handwriting Recognition have been disabled.
a. Windows 2000 Professional
i. Open Control Panel
ii. Double click Regional Options
iii. Select the Input Locales Tab
iv. Click the Change button
b. Windows XP Professional
i. Open Control Panel
ii. Double click Regional and Language Options
iii. Select the Languages Tab
iv. Click the Details button
c. Select the Settings Tab
d. Remove Handwriting Recognition
e. Remove Speech Recognition
f. Click the Apply button.
g. Select the Advanced Tab
h. Check the "Turn off advanced text services" checkbox.
i. Click OK
7. Microsoft Office 2000 Disk 2 is installed.
From Add and Remove programs, uninstall Microsoft Office Disk 2, then download and run erasecd2.exe from http://support.microsoft.com. Then run the “repair” utility off of the Microsoft Office 2000 Disk 1 CD.
8. There is a problem with Microsoft Office.
In some cases, this may require the Office be repaired via the built in repair utility. In other cases, it must be removed from the computer and then reinstalled.
9. Anti-virus software is causing the iQsystem to fail.
In most cases you will need to disable the anti-virus software during the install/removal of the iQsystem to prevent any damage to the iQsystem software. It should also be disabled any time you access iQsystem for Administrative or Testing purposes. NOTE: If you anti-virus software is able to exclude directories, you can try excluding C:\Program Files\Certiport. You will still need to disable your anti-virus during the installation and removal of iQsystem.
10. System Requirements are not met Please visit the System Requirements< Office Microsoft the of off feature '''Repair''>
11. The iQsystem or a portion thereof was not installed to the default location on the C drive.
In order for iQsystem to function properly, Windows, Office and iQsystem must run from the C drive.
12. The exam portion of the software has not been installed or is corrupted. Re-run the iQsystem Installation
